What follows is a translation of the thank you letter (pictured below) from Dr. Birjandi, Director of the Jiroft Medical Network. (My apologies for any mistakes in translation, I would appreciate if any Persian speakers would let me know of a better translation.)

Whereas, in the wake of the heartrending tragedy of Bam earthquake, you facilitated the process of providing aid and relief to the wounded, and sent the much needed medical equipment and supplies by coordinating the assistance of the Iranians living in the United States of America, as well as a group of caring American citizens; and

Whereas, you performed these humanitarian acts, which saved the lives of many of the victims of this tragedy, with integrity and complete honesty; and

Whereas, these equipments will continue to serve this community for years to come,

Now, the people of this region, my coworkers, and myself send our heartfelt thanks and appreciation to you and the caring people who helped. Without a doubt, their humanitarian gesture will never be forgotten.
